Institute of khmer Studies education was developed by Tsophorsd Khmer, an Khmer and scientist, at the beginning of the 20th century.

Institute of khmer methods derive from an instructional model that recognize the specific developmental stages of the adult. The Institute language views education as an art, so each subject, whether mathematics, Chinese, English and khmer is presented in a way that addresses the adult’s developmental stage. Each subject is presented through direct experience and is often augmented with art, poetry, music and drama.
